A useful addition to any busy kitchen, this 10-piece cookware set comes in handy when cooking healthy, everyday meals for the family or gourmet-style creations to entertain friends in savvy style. The collection includes a 1-1/4-quart, 2-1/2-quart, and 3-1/2-quart saucepan, each with a matching lid; an 8-quart stockpot with a matching lid; and an 8-inch and 10-inch skillet. Use the saucepans for breakfast oatmeal or homemade marinara sauce and the stockpot for soups and stews or for boiling pasta. The skillets work well for just about anything, including omelets, pancakes, and grilled cheese sandwiches, and they provide a wide cooking surface and gently sloped sides that make it easy to flip food or to effortlessly slide it from the pan to a plate. Made of durable stainless steel, each piece in the Gourmet Distinctions line features a double cap aluminum base for even heating throughout the pan. The base consists of a layer of aluminum, a layer of copper, another layer of aluminum, and finally a layer of 18/10 stainless steel for exceptional cooking performance with reduced hot spots. The cookware can be safely used on all types of stovetops, including induction, and is broiler-safe and oven-safe up to 500 degrees F. In addition, the cookware comes equipped with polished, 18/10 stainless-steel riveted handles--the long handles stay cool to the touch and offer holes for hanging. It also provides tempered glass lids with loop handles that trap in heat and moisture and make it possible to monitor foods at glance without letting heat escape. The pieces clean up easily by hand or in the dishwasher, and KitchenAid covers the set with a limited lifetime warranty.
